I have the blog page set as my blog page and want to change the layout to a full width but it won’t let me. Also, when I type in a custom page title for this page it doesn’t show when updated either. Any ideas?

HELP!May 5, 2015 at 22:47 #57511sharmstrModeratorDo you have Yoast SEO plugin? I’m seeing similar meta/settings saving issues being reported with this plugin installed and activated.

In the quick edit for the page is shows the option for page layout which I have set to full-width, but when you click on the page to edit it it doesn’t show you the option for page layout. Screenshots attached…Attachments:

May 6, 2015 at 02:05 #57530sharmstrModeratorOh right. I ran into this the other day. Any page you have set as your blog pages wont have the template dropdown. You can set the layout in Theme Options > Blog. WP takes control of the page when you set it to be your blog page.
Changing the title should work though. See attached.

May 6, 2015 at 03:56 #57536tmh23ParticipantOh, one thing that it still will not let me do is assign a different sidebar to the bog page? Any ideas??
If I have default, left or right side layout chosen it puts the default sidebar in no matter what.May 6, 2015 at 04:40 #57543sharmstrModeratorWhere do you have the title?
Again, WP takes over the page. That’s why you cant control the sidebar. There are several pages like this.

May 6, 2015 at 04:41 #57544sharmstrModeratorForgot to mention, you can use a conditional widget plugin to display which widgets are displayed where. There are several of them. Search the repo.
