I followed your instructions (at https://archived.seventhqueen.com/general/article/increase-profile-profile-image-size-increase-avatar-size-buddypress) for increasing the avatar size by modifying the bp-custom.php file but there is no change to the size of the avatars displayed on the members directory page.

I downloaded the bp-custom.php file (which already contained the required lines), edited it  by changing the numbers for the avatar dimensions, saved the changes and then uploaded the edited file to the server. Is that all that I needed to do, or is there something else that I need to do?

    Hi,

When you say you downloaded the file that already contained the lines – was this from your server or somewhere else? Specifically which directory/folder did you upload the file to? And did you completely purge your websites cache, CDN and browser cache?

I followed the instructions give in the post that I referred to. Using filezilla I downloaded the following from my server, edited it and then uploaded it back to its location in the server – wp-content/plugins/bp-custom.php. I didn’t purge my websites cache, CDN and browser cache because I don’t know how to do that. Can you advise me on that, please.

    Hi,

Where you need to change the image sizes ? in members or profile or ?

If you are referring on the members directory you will have to re-write our members-loop.php template in child theme.

So, first, copy the content of this : https://pastebin.com/raw/vT79PgnJ

Then via FTP go to wp-content/themes/sweetdate-child/buddypress/members/ create a new file named : members-loop.php in that you will paste content from clipboard.

IF the mentioned folders missing in child create them.

    Cheers
