Change Avatar – "There was a problem cropping your avatar" Error

1) Successfully upload the image
2) able to use “Crop Your New Avatar”
3) After clicked on “Crop Image” gets the error “There was a problem cropping your avatar.”

Check the uploaded folder for avatar is 775.

Hi karo, Please check with your hosting if you have writing permissions on your server files. Normally the path where the images are uploaded is in /wp-content/uploads

I am also having this problem with some pictures, and we have correct permissions.

Found our problem. Users are uploading files with a really long file name. Shortening the file name fixes the issue…this is a bug of some kind.
