Hi. I want to change the theme into danish, and will therefore use Poedit and then change it all. But how du I then switch the site to danish? Do I just delete the po and mo file for english, and then upload the danish po and mo file? And then the site will be in danish?

Or can I switch between english and danish if I upload the danish and also keep the english po and mo file, and which plugin do I need for this?

    Best regards

    Henrik

Hello, you can use Loco Translate for example, and to change the website language just go to Settings > General and select your language 🙂

Okay.. I need to be clear about this, before I do something stupid 🙂
Do you want me to go to the theme options and select import, like in the picture i added??

Because the other setting and general option, is already in danish. But my site is still in english. And I have translated the site with poedit and uploaded the .po and .mo file in the ftp server. I have also installed the Loco translate plugin, but I can still not get my site to be 100% danish.

I have added a picture again, with the setting and general option where you can see that I have switched it to danish

Okay, I have found out how I can translate it, so no problem there.

But I also want to ask, is there some way I can make the site so the visitors can change the danish to english? I am using buddypress and geodirectory, and most of the visitors will be able to read in danish, but some will only be able to read in english, and I therefore want the site to have the danish language as the default language, but if the visitors are able to switch the language to english, that would be awesome.

Hello, you could try using the plugin Q Translate X ( helps to have website posts, pages… in different languages)
