change the color in a bloc text

Hello
I took the material design demo.
I change 2 bloc text.
The first is a <H1>
The second a <p>
I put a additional class “white” on both to put white color in my text
But the <p> is white but the <h1> stay black …
I use the good technique to chnge color in a block text ?

In CSS you should to something like that :

COPY CODE

h1.white {color:#fff !important;}
p.white { color:#fff !important;}
