Change the whole background color of blog posts

Hi,

I’m using a whole purple color as background of my website (and white for the text).

I would like to have a “separated part” for the blog, with a classic white background and black text for all my articles.

But I don’t know how to do it, if I change the color of my text area with Visual Composer, my sidebar and all the rest of my theme is still in purple.

Do you know how can I do ?
