ParticipantI am having real trouble changing the background colour on posts/pages from the original black colour.
I’m trying to change it to a white/grey with black writing.
Changing it within customiser – appears to show the change but it doesn’t save.

ParticipantHi,
Thanks for your reply.
Basically the customiser doesn’t seem very responsive.
If I change the link colour, (currently blue) to black it changes in the preview in customizer but won’t save.
The background colour is inconsistent and doesn’t save well either but is now white.

ParticipantWhen logged into the admin portion of the site, the main page background is white with black icons.
However when not logged in, the icons are red with a pink background.

ParticipantWhen logged in the menu bar button also isn’t visible.
I installed the demo content from the Community site however I have had numerous problems since then.

ParticipantAdded to the problems I’m having above, and your previous solution of offering custom CSS.
I don’t believe a ‘premium responsive theme’ that you’re offering should have to have these additions made to it.
As mentioned, also the demo content doesn’t install to represent the demo themes you have built.
Does seventhqueen offer a money-back guarantee, or should I pursue this through themeforest – as I am disappointed thus far.

ModeratorHello, it depends, the customizer works fine for everyone, not all servers are the same and we know some have issues not only with KLEO but with many other themes and plugins. That is why i offered to help you with the css as i think is the best solution. If the theme was not a premium theme and had a lot of issues we wouldnt have so many happy clients! 🙂
The servers is quite always the issue, and people think its the theme or a plugin. If you share admin credentials with me, i can check each issue and fix it for you 🙂

ParticipantHi,
Having checked – it appears the dynamic css file is being deleted by the theme.
As you posted (image) it isn’t present. After uploading the dynamic css file from the kleo raw files, changes are made to the website, however after using ‘Customizer’ the CSS file disappears and the changes are lost.

ModeratorHi,
just i’ve looked at this problem, and it seems you have an issue with file/folder permissions on your server.
You should talk at your hosting provider to make sure you have write permission to the uploads/ folder from your server, once this is done the customizer will save the file.
Anyway now the customizations are generated and loaded in the head section, this is a backup method to ensure that the customizations are applied to your site.
I’ve tested and the customizations are applied.
Cheers

ParticipantHi thanks for your help so far,
Could you please give some more information about the problems with permissions? 0755 is correct I believe.
Your temporary solution was to change the media storage area to: /home/hp3-linc3-nfs2-y/670/714670/user/htdocs/wp-content/uploads
However this breaks file uplaods, and once this was changed all CSS changes are reset.
Please can you advise.
August 8, 2016 at 19:26 #131683nmedsoc
ParticipantI am now unable to edit the media storage in http://www.medsoc.co.uk/wp-admin/options-media.php back to “/home/hp3-linc3-nfs2-y/670/714670/user/htdocs/wp-content/uploads”
I have requested support regarding file permissions from my host and they have responded but they need more details regarding the permissions error – can you help.
August 8, 2016 at 19:29 #131684nmedsoc
ParticipantI have managed to change it back to how it was.
And it works as the CSS should.
However changing the media upload folder to wp-contents/uploads causes this to break

ModeratorHi again,
Do you have solved the issue ?
The cause was changing the upload path ?
R.
Hi there!!! Help others from the community and mark any reply as solution if it solved your question. Mark as a solutionAugust 8, 2016 at 21:38 #131717nmedsoc
ParticipantNo.
I changed the upload path ‘back’ to try and refix.
It is not fixed.
My host says there is no problem with permissions but: NetworkError: 404 Not Found – http://www.medsoc.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/custom_styles/dynamic.css?ver=4.0.8
It appears the theme is deleting the CSS file.
August 8, 2016 at 21:43 #131718nmedsoc
ParticipantThe dynamic.css file should be in that folder, but it is not.
Putting it there ‘fixes’ the problem, the CSS file then gets deleted.
August 8, 2016 at 21:47 #131720nmedsoc
ParticipantI have confirmed the problem:
uploading the dynamic.css file from the offline assets to the uploads folder. works.
Then making a change via customizer causes this file to be deleted.
Thus it is definitely the theme not the host.
August 9, 2016 at 13:23 #131776nmedsoc
ParticipantSteps to reproduce:
Upload dynamic.css to uploads/customstyles
Observe that on the front page CSS functions load correctly (no strikethrough of text and colours correct)
Make changes in Themes > Customizer to colours (they load correctly in customizer) click save and publish.
Observe that dynamic.css has been deleted from uploads/customstyles and css doesn’t load correctly.

ModeratorHi,
Now it should be ok, i’ve made a temporary fix for now, please do not change the ftp or admin credentials we still need those to test and improve the dynamic css engine.
We will let you know when we finish this.
Cheers
