Changing the default design

Hello,
I’d like to change the default design of the profile page and the forum. How to do it right ? Which files must I edit ?
I’m not used to work with wordpress. And I’m sorry if this question has been already asked.

Could you please :
– redirect me to the right post if this information exists somewhere else in the forum
– help me by providing me the right filenames / functions ?

Hi,
Profile page design is generated from:
members/single/member-header.php
members/single/profile.php
and basically all templates from singe folder since they are for different profile tabs
Many of the design elements are rendered by Buddypress so you must keep somehow the structure

Forum templates are located in bbpress folder.
