    Hi there
I am trying to change the header menu for the Sweetdate WP theme.
I’m a relative newbie – I’ve figured I need to play with the css files. And that I need to make change to the child, not the parent theme.

However, when I select the child theme, it returns an error saying “This theme is broken. The parent theme is missing. Please install the “sweetdate” parent theme.”. When I view my website, it appears to be fine.. so I’m not sure what the problem is.

When I try to reinstall the themes, it just says that the files already exist in that location, and that there’s an error reinstalling.

    Any suggestions please?
    Many thanks

You should have both of the themes installed but activate the child theme. You should connect by FTP and put the theme extracted files manually in wp-content/themes/. Each theme must have a style.css in the root of the folder
