Child theme changes doesn’t show up on site

Hello 7th queen… Great theme… Please I need help. I made changes to the child theme from a tutorial by kleo… But after I saved the changes it was a success but when I activate the main theme the changes doesn’t show up..

Hello, is because you need to have the child theme activated, not main theme 🙂

Hey Laura, thanks so much for quick response… All these while I didn’t know the child theme was what I am to use. I had been working on the main theme. Should I then ignore the changes I made in the main theme, activate the child theme and start using the child theme instead?

Also if I activate and am using the child theme what if a new update comes? Will by changes be erased?

Hello, you can export the changes you did at the theme options, for the file changes copy the files you changed and paste the at the child theme, if they are inside a folder, create the folder.

Child theme is exactly for that, to prevent losing changes after an update, so you are safe.

OK thanks Laura.. I have done that I now activated the child theme and I am using that now instead of the main theme.
