I want to make the city field a drop down menu with cities according to the previous country selected, so when u select a country the city fields only contain the list of cities if this country selected.
Do u have a code for this so i can include it

Is this going to be in the next update? I’m having issues of members typing in a city and my map not recognizing it because they said LA versus Los Angeles. I (as well as many others) need to have a drop down of a list of all the cities in the world for the users to select from such as http://www.geodatasource.com/world-cities-database/free

Is that what you guys are adding to next update? That would be really great, I noticed you have to scroll through all the drop down items so for the cities I think it’s necessary to include the option of typing letters in the list to locate the exact city or as the user types the city, options from the list are displayed just below the text box.

I just buy the theme earlier this week and it’s great! The installation went very well, using the video and the documentation we had pretty much all the information we need. And most of all it look great!

I have been using the theme for a couple days now and i think the only real issue i can see is the location of the user. If we let the user type the city by themself they will always be misspelling. I think most of dating site have understand this and are using drop down menu or/and zip/postal code to locate the user.

I can see a comment on August 7 that say you have something for this but not ready yet and on October 16 you say there is no solution for this. What is going on with this from now on? Do you work on somethnig or not? What is the plan on this? Should i try to do this by myself or try to hire someone to create this?

Hi, I am glad you like our theme. We are constantly improving it and we are releasing things related to the importance and user requests.
This is one of the features we are working on for next update but we do not have a time estimate. Probably a month or more until this update.

What type of solution your are planning to create? A dropdown menu solution or a zip/postal code solution? Maybe both?

I’m asking this because i want to release my site ASAP, so if the solution your working on fits my needs, maybe i will wait, if not, i will go ahead and create this myself ou witht he help of somebody.

I have a issue with city and country field http://d.pr/i/wjgY, http://d.pr/i/KZRa, http://d.pr/i/qTUt, (profile fields)
I don’t understand why it shows me this in this field, I thought that it has to show me all the city names or country names..is that right?

Hi, I don’t understand your question. Just set for City and Country your fields so the system will know which is which.

Thanks for reply my msg. I mean when I am going to set for a city or country from sweetdate – buddypress, the system doesn’t show me country/city names. the only thing that I can see when i click in the drop box is the images that I show you above this 2 msgs. I don’t know if I have to import buddypress profile fields again or I am not sure if it is my mistake.

Like I said, there you set your fields defined for city and country so the system knows which are the fields… City and Country 🙂
