Hi, I have installed CIVICRM plugin and would like to understand if there is someway I can enable view/edit of a CIVICRM profile on the user profile page

Many thanks sharmstr. The plugin provides shortcodes to include a group of defined fields in front end pages. These shortcodes can either be set to view the contents of the fields or edit the contents.

I am trying to find out how I can introduce these shortcodes into the kleo theme MyAccount page. Thus I would like to add the view mode shortcode into the Profile View and add the edit mode shortcode into the Profile Edit portions of the MyAccount functionality.

There are many “my account” possibilities depending on what plugin you are using so I’m not sure what you mean exactly by “My Account” page. Regardless, Kleo doesnt add any of the account pages, plugins do. In other words, if you were to switch to a different theme, you’d still have to figure out how to add the shortcodes to whatever account screen you are referring to.

If you can tell me what account page you’re referring to, I can possibly point you to the plugins documentation for customizing their account page.

Thanks again sharmstr. I think I am slowly getting your drift. Please bear with me as I am not an experienced developer. My best guess is it renders the buddypress profile on the page. I am able to add it to my menu by select “My Account” custom link from Kleo or via “Profile” Custom link from Buddypress.

That’s the buddypress profile. Since you have little experience and you’ve stated that you’re not a developer then you will need to hire someone to do it for you because you’ll have to write php code to do what you want to do.
