Hi-
We’ve been developing a new Kleo-based theme in a test environment with a domain like: testourdomain.org.
We’re now trying to convert testourdomain.org to ourdomain.org on a staging server. We’ve manually altered the database so all references are now to ourdomain.org, modified wp-config.php & bb-config.php appropriately, and otherwise copied all files & data but the site is not displaying as expected.
Comparing the CSS code of the two sites, it appears that we’ve lost the custom embedded css code added via the Kleo page edit interface.
Is this an issue with the Kleo license (i.e., restricted to the one domain?) or perhaps something else?
Thanks for any guidance you can offer!
November 21, 2015 at 22:54 #88486LauraModeratorHello, did you add that css to quick css?
If so, export the options in kleo theme and then import them in the other site, and remember that one theme license is for one domainHi there!!! Thanks for your reply.
I misstated the domain bit above – we’re really using something like test.ourdomain.org and production.ourdomain.org, so two sub-domains but only one domain.
Exported the options in one, but wasn’t sure how to import as there’s no ability to upload a file in the import section. So instead, attempted to import into production.ourdomain.org from test.ourdomain.org. This resulted in a success message, but no change to the actual site display – still appears a bunch of CSS is missing.
Any other guidance would be appreciated!

This begs the question – where exactly is Quick CSS stored? If duplicating the site files and duplicating the database doesn’t include the Quick CSS…and exporting the theme settings from one then importing into the other doesn’t include the Quick CSS…where can it be found? Is it in some ephemeral cache? Elsewhere?
Thanks; I’m now looking for the rest of the missing CSS…(any other leads?)

November 27, 2015 at 02:36 #89457LauraModeratorHello, you should place it at style.css so its saved 🙂

November 27, 2015 at 17:15 #89567wbishopParticipantSorry – I’m a bit confused still.
When I copied the files from my test site into my production site, a number of css settings were lost. The style.css file in both sites are identical. The databases in both sites are identical. But the test site retains the Quick CSS settings while the production site does not.
The Quick CSS settings must be saved SOMEWHERE on the test site, are they not? If not in style.css or in the database, then where?
Why are the Quick CSS settings not persisting when the test site is copied to production?
Sorry for being slow, but I hope you can shed light on this for me…
Thanks!
November 28, 2015 at 19:45 #89822LauraModeratorHello, i suggest to use style.css to save your css instead of quick css because there is no difference in quick css and style.css except that quick css saves it do the db with your other settings and style.css stays at the file. If you update the theme your changes in quick css wont be lost but if something happens and the settings are deleted you can recover that, but with style.css you can as its a file you can backup.
Usually what you should do is activate the child theme and in Appearance > Edit add the css changes. When you update the theme, the main theme is updated NOT the child theme so your style.css file is still thereHi there!!! Can you tell me which table in the database holds the Quick CSS settings?
Thanks again!
November 29, 2015 at 05:47 #89913LauraModeratorHello, the options table should. But if they got deleted there is no way to recover them

December 1, 2015 at 18:24 #90356wbishopParticipantHi,
Seems like the problem was related to the wp-content/blogs.dir/1/files/custom_styles/dynamic.css file. This apparently gets re-generated somehow during the process of replicating the site and reverts to default settings.
In the end, the only way I could recapture the lost styling was to walk through each setting and reset manually.
Painful…
Thanks anyway.
