Creating a Category Grid (not posts, but categories themselves)

Looking to build a page that is a grid of categories. NOT a list of posts for a/any category, but a list(grid) of all of the available categories, their description, and an image (might use categories-images.2.5.3 to add an image to the category).

So the page would be:

Category 1 – Category 2

Category 3 – Category 4

etc.

 

I see the grids for listing posts (Post Grid and Kleo Posts). But it looks like any customization is for targeting posts, not the categories themselves.

Is there anything like this in Kleo? Or a way to do it in Kleo?

I take it that the plug-in you suggested won’t work with either Kleo Posts or Post Grid , as there is no way to use a shortcake as a search query.

I also need something a little more complex (Category Name, Description, & Picture).

I see, in this case you should search for a plugin that can do what you need or to hire a developer to can develop that for you.

I found one plug-in that does what I want (and a few articles discussing it as the solution to this issue), but the plug-in is no longer available (and I don’t think it has been worked on in years).

So, I’m having to go with a custom solution.

But, as I mentioned, I just thought it wise to ask if there was anything in Kleo that would work, before spending the time/money/effort.

Right I’ve got an idea for your problem, i hope this will suits your needs

You can create custom menus in that you will add the desired categories then, using visual composer divide the row by 3 or 4 and add wp custom menu element and place your desired menus created…
