Custom Main Menu

Hi,

When I set a custom menu on a page (great idea), this in turn forces the top bar, and all footer widgets to use the same menu – is the intended behaviour?

I only want the Primary menu itself to change.

Any thoughts on why a custom menu for a specific page causes all elements – top bar, footer widgets – to show the same menu?
