Custom permalinks

I can’t quite figure out the permalink settings. I want to be able to create custom permalinks for SEO. WHen I go into Settings – Permalinks and choose Custom Structure and then save the settings. Then the page regenerates and nothing is saved. I am still given a random permalink with numbers and letters. How can I fix this? Thanks

Hello, i suggest to use the post name permalink to prevent issues with other plugins
for SEO, try YOAST SEO plugin

Yes I have been trying to change it at the bottom of my post page as well in the Yoast section but after inputting the new permalink it still switches back to “/example-post/”

Hello, no you dont need to change that one, as it will automatically change to your post permalink 🙂
