Custom Post Type Categories in Post Grid Query Builder

I would like to include categories from a custom post type (All In One Event Calendar) in the build query for a post grid in VC. The “ai1ec_event” custom post type is in the query builder, but when I try to enter categories from that post type nothing pops up. I’ve tried just typing out the entire category name and that does nothing.

Also, I’d be quite fine including all posts from my custom post type if that makes this any easier.

Hmmm. I’ve never had a problem with my CPTs. Maybe they have registered their CPT in such a way that it wont display unless called from their functions. If they have a shortcode you can put that in a text field.

I just installed it

They use their own categories taxonomy, not the built in wp categories so you’ll have be able to query those using wp category queries.

I was able to display the test event I created using the post grid shortcode.

Hmmmm… I’m trying to build a query to pull 1 category of normal posts, and then all categories of events. I can only get the one category of posts to work….

Nevermind… I was able to pull them in using the custom taxonomies box. I’m obviously blind. Thanks for the prompt support!
