ParticipantI’d like to change the top menu space (the one where all the social links are shown if activated) to my own code rather than using the Appearance > Menu option that is included now.
What I want to do is add Register | Login links for when a user is signed out, and add Logout | Profile for when the user is signed in.
Since Buddypress works with dynamic links for profile depending on who is signed in, any chance you could tell me where/how to edit?
I’m using the child theme so how would I go about this?

ParticipantFor custom log in / log out, profile etc link(s) you can use a plugin called BP Direct Menus and add them to the top menu under the menu management.

ParticipantSorry, another strange one. The top menu does not display on Buddypress pages. I’ve got it set to show. Any idea where this has gone?

ParticipantAbe,
I did replace the functions php code in wp-content\themes\kleo\functions.php… but it did not make the buddypress info appear… i was not sure if it was due to the fact that I have the child theme activated? that is when I tried putting in child theme… but that crashed it… I reverted to old file in child theme… I still have the new file you posted in theme location… but can not see buddy press info..March 20, 2014 at 18:01 #13062Abe

KeymasterGive us a link to your site since the top bar should appear in buddypress pages if you have it enabled for your site in Theme options – Header options
