Database crash

Hey, last 2 days my sql database crashed.

and i got no clue why this is happening.

so i openen the error log on Cpanel , and get this :

Could that be the reason? and how can ir esolve the crashing , because i’m not always there to restart Mysql server

I see that one IP is doing a dirty work or something. Can’t you check with the hosting provider? Maybe they can understand the problem better

Thank you for contacting HostGator. I do see that your VPS has been exceeding memory resources. When these are exceeded, processes are killed to keep the VPS within the memory limits. These processes have been PHP and MySQL processes. Unfortunately the system-snapshot program that is installed did not indicate what caused this high memory usage, as around the time of these processes being killed the one minute snapshots show 360MB of available memory.

I have installed and configured WP Super Cache to datelite.net, and also modified the robots.txt file to have a crawl delay. This should ease a resource spike that can be caused by a bot crawling this page.

fyi – once i finish working on my site. i plan on hosting it through this company:
http://wpengine.com/. you might want to check them out. wordpress/buddypress is pretty complex and seems to require more than basic hosting. i’m really hoping it will dramatically improve the speed of the site as well.
