Hello I have been trying to change the button and text colors to a darker grey or black because users are having so much trouble seeing the items.
I have changed all my text and alternate colors to black in the theme options menu and this did not solve the issue. I also tried to add the CSS from this post https://archived.seventhqueen.com/forums/topic/change-buddypress-navigation-menu-icons but that did not work either.
What CSS would I need to add to the child theme to darken the words/icons/buttons to change the color?
Pictures of the areas I need changed are attached.
I wanted to use this same post to ask my question as it is also related to the same issue.
What alternate color are you referring to? can you please specify whether is it “link” color in alternate section that we should change?. I have link color set to dark blue but i still see light default color in my body text.
It doesn’t work.I did this and changed all the alternate colors but the buttons remain light grey (e5e5e5) I would prefer them to be 000000 or a darker grey but I am not sure where the actual change needs to be made.

Hi, these icons and buttons are linked to lighter colors which is a color derived from main background color. However, since many users report this as a usability problem we made some changes that will be available in the next version. See attached pictures – before & after.
