My client – and several of the members – can’t seem to find the Profile Edit area so that they can add to and edit their profiles. I did a FAQ to explain – but they just want it easier.

One way to do this is to add in the main (primary) menu a direct link to edit. However, this would require some kind of special php I guess, since the link depends on your user name:

    /members/”my user name”/profile/edit/group/1/

How would one code that into the menu so that it can be there?

In menus, you can click “Screen Options” and turn on the BuddyPress options. If what you require is not achievable by doing so you can use a plugin called BP Direct Menus http://wordpress.org/support/view/plugin-reviews/bp-direct-menus

I would express a word of warning however – using this plugin, it can be tempting to add a lot of menus and sub menus to different areas. I have found by doing so that it can dramatically slow down pages (where excessively used).
