Disconnect between BuddyPress and Kleo Register Pages

Hi,

Currently, I’m trying to set up a User Registration page. I created a new blank page called Join and added it into the main menu. In the BuddyPress settings, I set Join as the Register page. When I’m not logged in, clicking on Join brings me to an automatically generated form. When I added the Kleo Registration element to the Join page, clicking on Join redirects me to the Home page, no matter whether or not I’m logged in. My question is two fold:

1) How can I always view the Registration page, whether or not I’m logged in?

2) How can I customize the Registration form?
