Does KLEO have built-in support for bbpress favorites and subscriptions shortcodes or page/templates? If so, how would we get that implemented?
September 3, 2015 at 13:56 #76003sharmstrModeratorIf you’re running buddypress, those are submenu items of the Forums tab in the members profile.

September 3, 2015 at 20:14 #76096strategicblendParticipantWhat if we’re not running buddypress?
Also, if we were running buddypress – where do those pages get generated or how can they be re-generated?
September 3, 2015 at 21:32 #76108sharmstrModeratorthe template files are in /kleo/bbpress/user-xxxx.php

September 23, 2015 at 21:38 #79198strategicblendParticipantThese template files aren’t automatically appearing in my page templates. What’s the easiest way to deploy in the dashboard?
September 23, 2015 at 22:11 #79204sharmstrModeratorThey dont work that way. Please refer to the bbpress documentation https://codex.bbpress.org/step-by-step-guide-to-setting-up-a-bbpress-forum-part-3/

September 23, 2015 at 22:29 #79213strategicblendParticipantThis doesn’t really describe how to deploy these as page templates within KLEO though. Was there a specific part of the documentation you were referencing?
September 23, 2015 at 22:34 #79215sharmstrModeratorAgain, they dont work that way. So I cant explain it 🙂 Yes, the part of the documentation in the link I sent where it talks about templating.

September 23, 2015 at 22:41 #79217strategicblendParticipantMaybe we’re misunderstanding each other. I’m trying to generate bbpress favorites and subscriptions as actual pages. You originally mentioned this was done via buddypress, but in this case we aren’t using buddypress. Since KLEO has a lot of bbpress customization built-in, is there not a way to just deploy these pages via a KLEO shortcode or include? Was this not taken into consideration when KLEO was made?
September 23, 2015 at 23:01 #79222sharmstrModeratorI’m sorry that I’m not giving you the answer you want. But again, there are no “pages” the way you’re thinking of pages. bbpress (like most other large/established plugins) uses template files. The Kleo overrides of those files are in /kleo/bbpress. Specifically user-xxx.php. But for the most part, all of kleo’s *changes* are done via css. There’s a list of bbpress shortcodes that you can add to a wordpress “page”, but I dont know of one for favorites or subscriptions. Hopefully this makes sense now.

September 23, 2015 at 23:34 #79231strategicblendParticipantKind of – I’m still confused on how this content gets generated to begin with. Styling and altering the css is a cinch, but how would we get that content to appear to begin with? Is it even possible to have a page where a logged in user can see the posts they’ve subscribed to?
September 24, 2015 at 00:15 #79242sharmstrModeratorOf course. Its http://www.yoursite.com/users/*username*
You really should spend some time reading the bbpress documentation if you’re going to be managing a bbpress forum. Kleo really doesnt do anything but stylize it.
