Dynamic posts grid

Hi, trying to figure out if there’s any way to create a dynamic posts grid? ie if i want to have a selector in the sidebar that allows a user to select a category, and then if they do, the page (or even just the grid) will reload with posts only of that category?

Set your archive page to have a sidebar, then add the Categories widget to the sidebar.
