Easiest way to modify Buddypress fields

Hi,

I am trying to figure out a use case for Kelo with Buddypress and have gone round in circles with Paid Member Pro, WooCommerce and Gravity forms. I have read through your docs, but still can’t figure out the best way. As a last resort, I am asking 🙂

Basically I have a BuddyPress site. Unusually, it’s not a “paid membership” site where people pay to access content. Everyone can register for free.

However, what they do have to pay for are “designations” in BuddyPress. Whether it’s with some sort of badge, or field, they pay to become a “Member” and then to get “Promoted”.

I can see how to populate buddypress fields when someone registers, but in this case, they might well be already registered. I need to somehow update the BP fields after a payment is made.

Hello, i understand that you want to hide some fields for some members and make them visible if then buy an upgrade?
If so, check out https://archived.seventhqueen.com/forums/topic/show-a-specific-profile-field-to-membership-level-subscribers-only#post-21838
It requires some php knowledge, if you can share admin credentials and more details about the fields to hide etc then i can edit it for you 🙂

Not quite. I want to be able to change the field contents on purchase.

Say, I have BP field called “color” and it costs $10 to change to “blue” and $20 to change it to “red”
