Emergency! My site is a community site, and when users try to sign up, the emal activation gives a 404 page error. I have made the register page my landing page, and set up it so that when users log in, they are taken to the home page 2 (different from register page). Can this be the problem? Please advise.
March 10, 2016 at 19:38 #109840gnkechioParticipantThis is an example of a link that a user who had registered a new account, received in their inbox: http://www.mommysupermodel.com/activate/5e60ec29ac72638b0320d5fa607d2f9a/. After they clicked on the link, that they got a page 404 error. This is a busy week for my site, and I would greatly appreciate it if you can help me resolve this problem as soon as possible. Thank you!

March 10, 2016 at 23:01 #109905gnkechioParticipantHello. My site is a life site, so I’d be glad if you respond to my topics promptly. I thank you for the help thus far, but I need to quickly resolve this page 404 error problem. ALL the emails give a page 404 error. If a user registers to join the site, the page activation email link that they receive doesn’t work- it returns a page 404 error after they click on it. All other email activations have the same error. How do I fix this?
-Also, please tell me how to resend a new activation code to the users who had tried to log in earlier but failed.
Thanks in advance.March 11, 2016 at 20:44 #110042RaduModeratorHi,
Go to wp-admin -> settings -> buddypress -> pages -> make sure that in activation field should be activation page.
See here from this second : https://youtu.be/e1fLpukxW5s?t=8m8s how to setup buddypress in kleo
Cheers

I have a different question: how can I set it so that after users log in, they are redirected to this page, like this Kleo demo seen here?:http://seventhqueen.com/themes/kleo/members/kleoadmin/.
– upon login I want the users to be able to immediately see the activity page/stream.
– I have tried using http://www.mommysupermodel.com/members, but it doesn’t work- it simply takes me to the membership levels. Thanks again.
March 13, 2016 at 22:55 #110235gnkechioParticipantHello. I have a question regarding videos that I upload to my site using rtMedia: how do I get the videos to automatically play when the post is uploaded? Currently, there is only a link that says “upload file”; it is only after the user clicks on this, that he/she can download and then view the video. How do I bypass this and have the video play automatically?
– Also, is there is way to have the user’s name and avatar to show at the menu bar like it does for the admin. and editors?
– I had sent a question earlier asking how I can get the user’s activity stream or the member’s page to show? LIke in this demo page? http://seventhqueen.com/themes/kleo/members/kleoadmin/. I have tried using http://www.mommysupermodel.com/members, but it doesn’t work- it simply takes me to the membership levels, which is a blank page. Is there some short code or plugin that I can use?
– Also, once logged in, how can user’s access their personal activity page? As it stands, most users do not even know that there is such a page, and this kind of defeats the whole idea of a community site.I will greatly appreciate your help in solving this problem. Thank you.
March 14, 2016 at 18:53 #110421RaduModeratorHi,
You can set redirect after login from wp-admin -> theme options -> miscellaneous -> Login redirect for Popup* -> choose your desired option..
For advanced redirection you can use Peters Redirect Plugin
Regarding this page: http://www.mommysupermodel.com/members make sure that the page is not restricted for loggef in members from page backend look for Requires Membership, you should uncheck all options (see attachment)
REgarding to this

This option not exists in kleo… you can ask about this on rTMEdia support forum

The activity is shwn by defaault in your profile, make sure if the activty componet is active by going to wp-admin -> setting -> buddypress -> check Activity stream.
The user can access his activity page by going to his profile, the first page is the activity.
Cheers
