Enable search in BuddyPress activity updates and WordPress comments

How can I enable search in BuddyPress activity updates and WordPress comments?

It appears Kleo only searches in forums, in the members directory and in blog posts. When I then press enter only search results in blog posts are displayed. Is this a feature or a bug?

Perhaps you consider adding support for the BuddyPress Global Search plugin?

I think a search function that searches the entire site and not just in parts is essential for every theme.

Hi,

I’ve added to improvement list integration with the BuddyPress Global Search plugin.

For the moment I don’t have a plug and play solution for making our search to search for all BuddyPress components.

WE will let you know when we do something about this.

We are now using the BuddyPress Global Search plugin. We had to adjust some CSS and remove the then incorrect number of search results displayed by Kleo. The solution is not optimal because autoload of search results with the search field in the top menu doesn’t work. The nice thing about the plugin is that it searches the entire site including BuddyPress updates, blog comments, and Bbpress. It would be nice if Kleo integrates BuddyPress Global Search in a future release.

At this moment our theme cannot search in all buddypress components, only in groups and members, in future this will be improved, if you really need search in all buddypress components install the bp global search but there should be made some css custom by your developer to can fit it good.
