Facebook login on mobile not working

Hi, I have an issue regarding facebook login. When I log in from a desktop browser works ok, but on mobile it just creates new tabs and reloads de login page but nothing else happens.

By now I checked diferents mobile browsers and cleaning cache. I’ve disable some plugins like login limit and hide admin but with no success.

On the facebook developer page everything seems to be ok.

 

PS: I saw a post with similars problems but doesn’t show how to fix it so I decided to open this ticket.

Make sure to have latest theme update!

In still encounter the issue, using what device I can reproduce that? and what browser?

Using iPhone I’m able to login with Facebook on the demo site.

I saw a lot of js error on your website on browser console, try to de-activate all plugins except BuddyPress, visual composer, and k-elements and if you have child theme try to de-activate it to check if those errors are gone and FaceBook login ok. at this moment if I click on the button(login with facebook ) nothing happens

Hi, I’ve got rid off all the console errors on login page, updated wordpress, Kleo and facebook login on mobile still not working. Just opens a bunch of tabs and redirects to the login page without login in after give crendentials on facebook page.
I’ve also tested with a clean wordpress and doesn’t work either. So some thing must be going on.
Just like on the first post. Desktop browsers works fine. Mobile browsers do not work.

Now I’m trying to debug remotely my android device to see if throws any console errors.

The debug console on android chrome gives no errors either. I manage to get it “working” on another wordpress but despite that log the user in, it does on a new tab and keeps the page of the login form open on another. Not the expected beheviour.
When I get time to do more testing I’ll give you more details.

PS: I’ve hidden the facebook button by now on mobile.

Update: I finally got an error in console related to the access_token. Any ideas?

The problem it’s because the J query cannot be called, maybe it’s loaded in footer and the scripts try to call the jquery in head,

If you de-activate all plugins except k-elements and visual composer, it works ? If not please provide admin credentials to check

Hi,
A de-activate all plugins except a couple that are critic and by testing I know they are not the problem.
Another thing is that if you request the desktop version on the mobile browser, facebook login works fine again so the problem is with the mobile version of the web that is not delivering some js scripts I guess.

Accessing the dashboard to debug that I’ve noticed I cannot change things cuz the layout it’s broken

Some of your resources aren’t loaded inclusive jquery, if you have custom htaccess try to leave it with default wordpress code in it. Also try to de-activate all plugins including hide my login, if you are using CloudFlare and mooving js to the footer or compressing scripts or any speed feature just de-activate to debug this.

Beside of those you can add this line on wp-config.php to prevent concatenating files.

Based on how it looks also on admin Kleo has nothing to do with that kind of issue.

Just I’ve logged in via Facebook and in the first instance, i wasn’t redirected to the https://abasedemusica.es/Ofertas/ but after I’ve logged out and logged in via Facebook I was redirected immediately.

This can be caused by changes in the child theme or by some plugin, so just test the behavior without plugins and without child theme de-activated.

In the first instance, I suggest you de-activate the hidemywp plugin to see if only without, it works.

On a test wordpress (clean instance):
Tested with hideMyAdmin & Kleo child (copied & pasted from Ofertas) deactivated – Works on mobile
Tested with hideMyAdmin & Kleo child (copied & pasted from Ofertas) activated – Works on mobile

On Ofertas wordpress or any other:
All plugin deactivated with Kleo-child – Don’t work on mobile (same behavior)

I’m running out of ideas. And still don’t know why works fine on desktop.

Hi,

Having Kleo child activated try to deactivate plugins one by one back to figure out with what plugin interfere, must sure it’s in the child theme some code or some file modified and somehow interfere with a plugin.

OK, the problems is definetly a Kleo theme issue. I’ve deactivated the facebook integration and added a third party plugin called “Facebook Login” and works fine on mobile. So you tell me, cause I did all the things you told me and none of them worked.

Also, i’m able to to that using directly iPhone.

Please make a video to can see what should I do to see the issue that you encounter.

Normal that now it works, as I told you on the previous reply I’ve remove the Kleo Facebook integration (login/register, etc) and replaced it with a third party plugin, thats why.
