How can I amend the Facebook login to redirect to the profile page and not remain on the homepage?

The facebook login redirects by default to homepage, if you want to modify and extend this functionality, you find the file here : wp-content/themes/kleo/kleo-framework/lib/function-facebook-login.php

how do you get it to go to the profile though? what is the code?

Hello,

You need to go in your kleo-child directory then make a folder named, kleo-framework, then inside kleo-framework folder, create a folder named lib, here you need to unrar and upload this file ( see attachment )

the path for the file must be like this : /wp-content/themes/kleo-child/kleo-framework/lib/function-facebook-login.php

NO,

This modification will work in this way : after you will login with facebook in few seconds you will be redirected to buddypress profile to complete all empty fields.

This is tested on my side and it works. ( latest version of kleo )

Try to disable plugins that not commed with the theme.

hi these are the only plugins that are now active. I believe these are the basic ones.

It is still logging in but showing null page.

i have the php file in both kleo and kleo child

Hello, I also have an issue with this.
When it they first register through facebook, yes they get redirected to profile to fill out all the fields, but the issue is once they are already logged in. It says you are already logged in and you see the homepage, right now even myself I have to put admin after slash to get into my profile, and this one is not a facebook register one, so enabling facebook login screws up all registered profiles.
Also, I noticed that a profile registered through facebook does not see any public groups, which other profiles registered normally do see.

@mrchristophee, radu shared the file where you need to make edits to change your fb register/login redirects, but please note that you’ll need a few programming skills to understand and edit the file correctly

@arystokrata, you are right about the facebook related redirects and in one of our next update we’ll fix this by adding an option directly in our theme panel from where you could edit the redirect url

Will it also be possible to import more than 1 photo?
Typically when you log in with FB it allows you to pick pictures which you have saved as your profile photos.

Unfortunately for the moment I don’t see such an option coming, but who knows in the future.
