People love the convenience of registering with facebook and i’d like to offer that but, i still need them to fill in form fields on the registration page for address and geo coding as well as a couple simple questions. Once they register i have the info so they can simply log in with facebook from then on.
Is there a way to do this… I really hope so!! It’s the one element missing for my site to really be great. Thanks,

April 24, 2015 at 22:08 #56109tmh23ParticipantHow can I go about doing this. If i activate the login with facebook feature within the theme it is displayed on the registration page and in the login popup and in the sidebar widget. If a visitor that’s not registered already clicks on it, it acts as registration.
If they register with the registration page, how do they then login with facebook and have it link to the same account they registered with. Linking facebook to the registered account if you will.

If they use the same email address to log into facebook they they have used to register with your site, they will have no problem logging in with facebook.

April 27, 2015 at 18:14 #56259tmh23ParticipantOk. I see that if I activate the facebook option if places the facebook login graphic on the sidebar and in the popup login window. This is great, when they click on it and haven’t registered it prompts you that facebook registration is not active, please use the registration page. However…
Most people (the sheep) will see this notice and freak out that they can’t register… people don’t read! Can more info be added to this pop-up prompt saying something like… “Once you have registered you can login with facebook to connect your account.” *note your account email and facebook email must be the same.
I think this will really help new users and streamline the process when the registration page is needed for initial signup.
Thanks,
Troy

April 27, 2015 at 22:22 #56299sharmstrModeratorRead up on translating WordPress: https://codex.wordpress.org/Translating_WordPress
You can use an editor like POedit to bring up the kleo translation file, search for the string you want to change, change the string and recompile the MO file. See how I changed the registration message in the screenshot attached.

Sorry, I’m a total rookie at all this… I’ll read up and give it a try. Thanks!
April 27, 2015 at 23:14 #56313tmh23ParticipantPerhaps you could point me in the direction of where to find the Kleo translation file?

April 27, 2015 at 23:55 #56322tmh23ParticipantI see a .MO and a .PO file in there… do I edit both?
April 28, 2015 at 00:17 #56324sharmstrModeratorNo. You load the po file and compile a new mo file. Please read the documentation https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/handbook/tools/poedit/#translating-with-poedit

April 28, 2015 at 02:29 #56373tmh23ParticipantSweet! I figured it out….
I can’t however figure out how to space a line down like hitting the return key. If I hit the return key to space the line down it shows in POedit but the .MO file when uploaded there is no carriage return. How do I space lines down? I’ve included a screenshot of the formatting the .MO file is providing. I’d like it on 3 lines.Attachments:
