Hello,
I bought from your website Kelo theme – the theme itself + installation service.
I have an issue with the Facebook Registration –
People can register with Facebook button, but while they register, they get another user name.
Iv’e attached an image that show’s that.
I talk with my hosting and they told me that this is something with the theme.
Please help me,
Thanks,
Liron.

Thanks for reaching out! I appreciate it!!
When do you think they will reach out? This issue is highly important!!
Thanks,
Liron.December 13, 2015 at 15:51 #92987AbeKeymasterHi, that username is fetched from Facebook. It gets the full name or the nickname from Facebook that is transformed in the username.

So you are saying that I need to contact with Facebook?
At Facebook for Developers? It’s not a bug issue with the theme or the website itself?
Looking forward to your response,
Best,

So what do you suggest me to do?
Who can fix this bug?
It’s a Template issue? Facebook issue? Hosting issue?Looking for your feedback,
Thanks,

The field that appears in your screenshot which is called “User Name” is a buddypress profile field created by you which can be filled with anything by the users, it doesn’t come with the theme and it’s not really linked in any way with the actual account username.
Don’t know what you wanted to achieve with that username but there is no issue at all in the image you have presented.
Please let me know if I can help you with anything else.
Cheers

The field is created automatically when user register.
I’m not doing anything in that matter, and would like to understand where are those names coming from..
Attached screenshot from backend dashboard. Its might be a conflict with 3rd party plugin, but I didnt find it.
Appriciate your help,

I’ve done some tests on your site and seems that something strange is going on, facebook returns the right user information, it creates the wordpress account with the right information, but in the buddypress field related to full name/display name, it records a random string or name.
This might either be caused by some custom code or modification that you might have done to the theme or it’s coming from an one of the plugins that you’ve installed and set up.
The only thing that I recommend in this case is to delete the theme and re-install it, you shouldn’t loose any of the setting but just to be sure backup them before this from the theme options panel.
Also deactivate all the plugins that didn’t come initially with the theme and see if everything works fine, then reactivate your plugins one by one until you find the one that’s producing this strange behaviour.
Please let me know how it went and if if you need any more help with it.
Looking forward.

When I bought Kelo theme, I took installation and support as well, and paid 50$ for installation!
Since the installation – I told Cornel that I have a tech issue with Facebook Registration, but he didn’t fix it!The template include Budypress – that’s the main reason I bought it!
Now these days – I can’t use the website because this tech issue !!!!!!
Please fix this bug, or please give me a refund, so I will pay someone to fix it!!!!
Andri, you can’t tell me to delete the template and reinstall – because I don’t know how to do it!!! That’s is the reason I take your support in the first place !!!!!!
Please reply ASAP,
I’m dealing with this issue is more than a month !!!PS – I sent this massage to Cornel as well – by email!

Usernames in BuddyPress are the wordpress usernames in fact and those are created at registration and can’t be changed. that @username is fetched from Facebook at registration and saved as your username which is something else than your actual name. What you want probably is some customization job to display your custom “Username” field instead of the default BuddyPress username. Is that what you want?

@ SeventhQueen we do our best to have super happy customers. Thanks for being our customer.January 12, 2016 at 11:39 #97940AndreiModerator@lironversanoperez, that being the case please provide us full access to your website hosting so we can proceed with a backup and theme reinstall, and in the future please be careful at what plugins and custom codes you intend to use because I can assure you that what’s happening in your case is not generated by our theme.
Looking forward.
Hi there!!! Help others from the community and mark any reply as solution if it solved your question. Mark as a solutionJanuary 12, 2016 at 21:55 #98124AndreiModeratorHi,
I went and did a theme update, re-uploaded 100% clean files, even deactivated all your plugins and the issue was still present.
Then I had a look into your database, in the users related tables, and it seems you had in past more users which you didn’t correctly deleted from the wp-admin interface and which left some junk data which in the end got applied to new users and that’s why those fields were already filled up because they belonged to other users in the past.
I cleaned now the junk data, the issue is gone, but please if you ever need to delete wordpress users, please only do so from the wordpress interface in order to clean up all data related to that user.
Cheers
