Facebook Registration Closed

Hi, This is probably a simple setting which I am unable to find.

I am attempting to set login/register with facebook. I have created the App ID, and set the settings in WP backend, When user clicks on login or register then the Facebook Allow App permission dialog appears, it is approved and then I get the generic message of’

Registration is not open at this time. Please come back later.

Normal (non FB) registration works though.

I had thought it could be related to the Admin>Buddypress>Settings> Register & Activate Page (as in the video) however if I adjust these to pages then the facebook registration appears to disappear completely.

I must be missing a setting somewhere, could someone point me in the right direction?

yaya, basis settings…

Admin>Settings > Membership > Anyone Can Register = True.
