Hi there,
I am still customizing the theme, but I think along the way I unknowingly tweaked something that resulted in a fatal error. I tried retracing to see what I may have changed, but all in vain.
From time to time, when switching between pages, or making changes, this is the message that shows:
Fatal error: Cannot call overloaded function for non-object in /home/content/p3nexnas05_data02/18/2099618/html/wp-includes/user.php on line 326
This same message shows when I try to view the site on mobile.
How can I fix this?
Lastly, is there a way that I can reset the main menu back to its original form? This because it had certain links to areas like the user profile, where the logged-in user could go and read their messages, notifications, upload media, etc. I originally removed these areas with the intention of placing them on another menu, but I have failed to find them.
The plugin that I have (Users Ultra) can generate a user profile page, but it does not have these fields,
Please help me :-/June 3, 2014 at 09:34 #19273AbeKeymasterHi, That could be from a plugin you are using. See this topic on wordpress site: http://wordpress.stackexchange.com/questions/44016/php-fatal-error-cannot-call-overloaded-function-for-non-object-in-wp-includes-c
You can re-add those Buddypress related item menus from Appearance – Menus. If you don’t have a Buddypress section on the left, enable it from Screen options – Buddypress

Sorry I forgot to update this post as resolved, because I somehow found a way around it.
I followed the link you gave though, and I saw that very many people also went through the same routine of checking each plugin individually, to find the error. I did that, and I the best i could trace it to was to the K Elements plugin.
But being vital, I didn’t bother changing anything there. Long-story short, I randomly tried re-modelling the homepage of the site, and those errors aren’t showing anymore. The mobile version is also working smoothly now, except the fact that it’s theme is quite different (I’m trying out a few mobile version plugins though) 🙂For the menu, I got one of those Homepage – Profile redirect plugins, and simply changed the ‘Home’ label on the menu to ‘Profile’. Works like a charm now. It is a much longer process than what you suggested, but I had my hands tied because that drop-down Screen Options menu wasn’t responding. I think it was an issue with my internet connection. I will try it out though.
I will be done customizing the theme tonight. I look forward to sharing it with you.
Thanks againJune 10, 2014 at 13:46 #19616AbeKeymasterGreat. Keep us posted
