I see that you guys have answered this question before but after following those answers I am not getting anywhere.
I would like to set a featured image to the posts page and they are showing up too big. I followed this thread:
https://archived.seventhqueen.com/forums/topic/size-of-featured-image-top-of-post
But it puts the image to the very left of the page and doesnt fit right. See the first photo attached.
What I would like is to have a featured image at the top which I can scale on my own to suit the post. As well, I would like KLEO to know that if I don’t insert a featured image that it is to know to take the first one from the post.
If you look at the second attachment, this website has a featured image that spans the length of the page but is cropped to make a realistic fit for the full article. I’m sure their original photos for these featured images can vary in size, but they scale them to look good for the posts.
In the third attachment it is the same thing.
How can I achieve something like this? In my Theme Options – Blog – I selected Display media on post page* and Get Featured image from content*
This way I can set a featured image if I wish, otherwise it will take the first from the post.
Here is the URL of the example if you wish to poke around. Thanks

It would be cool if there was a nice tinting effect available to make this top image a bit darker so I could put text over it without it clashing. I figured “Enable Dark Gradient” would have done the trick but it didnt.
