I recently discovered (I’m new to this) that TIFF images work fine with Safari but nothing else.
I had a tiff as a ‘featured image’ on my products which seemed to display as I expected as a TIFF but when I changed to a PNG (same size) the featured image on the product page is huge and where it is used as a thumbnail (product list) the resolution is lousy (it’s a graphic, not a photo). What am I missing?

    I few things to check.

Verify your woomcommerce image size settings. If they are set to a higher resolution than the images you are uploading, that could be your issue.

    Try regenerating the thumbnails. https://wordpress.org/plugins/regenerate-thumbnails/

Thanks sharmstr – I’ve looked at woo settings, regenerated thumbnails, changed the original image file, and made some progress, but still have some issues with how WooCommerce displays things (why can’t I change the individual product image site? changing the woo setting doesn’t seem to change anything). Too many moving parts for me. I may just figure out how to dumb things down from a display standpoint and deal with this detail later. I really wish Woo was a little more flexible about the page display.
