    hi all,
    “Featured” post seems not working

    in Themes options >> Blog >> Featured content display type

    Featured articles can be displayed on your Blog page just above regular articles. Just add them a tag named Featured
    This setting affects the way they are displayed

    I created a tag “Featured” (slug = featured)
    But my taggued posts don’t appear “above regular articles” on blog page
    I miss something ?

    ++ regards

    Hey Robin,

    I havent had any issues with this, so not sure where to point you. Have you verified that your posts show up in /tag/featured/ ?

    yes every thing is OK in /tag/featured/
    I have notice that “featured” content work with the WP core functionnality called “Stick this post to the front page” => http://grab.by/v9pS

    my post is on top, in blog page, with my option “masonry” in Themes options >> Blog
    but this is not “tag” stuff … 🙁
    really don’t know where to find the “bug”

    Hmmm. I can tell you that I didnt use the sticky stuff. And I dont know of anywhere in the admin options where you can turn on/off featured. I only see that you can change the style from carousel to grid.

    This is a long shot, but the files that control that are

    /kelo/featured-content.php
    /kelo/lib/admin.js
    /kelo/lib/featured-content.php

    Maybe reupload those in case they are corrupt?

    Sorry that I cant be of more help.

    Well Kleo team, there’s a big mistake :

    I’m in French, the “featured” content on blog page only work for me if I create a tag “A la une” ( slug = a-la-une) , which could be a french translation of “featured”
    http://grab.by/v9ys

    I really don’t know why this is working like that

    Other issue : I’m using WPML, and featured contents appear in both language blog page (french blog page and vietnamese blog page)
    WPML is well configured and regular contents (= no “featured”) are displayed correctly in their related languages

    ok, mistake found

    The only way to choose your personal TAG for “featured” content is to go to the theme customization under “Featured content” /wp-admin/customize.php and put the TAG Name

    Use the “featured” tag to feature your posts. You can change this to a tag of your choice; if no posts match the tag, sticky posts will be displayed instead.

    @Ade
    please update the documentation under Themes options >> Blog >> Featured content display type

    the info text is wrong

    Featured articles can be displayed on your Blog page just above regular articles. Just add them a tag named Featured
    This setting affects the way they are displayed

    cause we can choose our own TAG for featuring stuff, juste a little bit confusing

    @Abe
    it would be great to have a select dropdown under Themes options >> Blog >> Featured content display type , for directly choosing our own TAG

    hey robin. I didn’t have to set the tag name in ‘featured content’. It was automagically added when I installed the theme.

    Hi, Indeed that text is a bit confusing and isn’t telling you that you can change the default Featured tag to whatever you want. Also setting the post as sticky will act as the featured posts.

    We will change that description and put a link to the Customize page. We prefer that setting in the Customize page for WordPress compatibility with other themes/plugins
