Filter by Category not working

Hi,

When using the Post Masonry Grid, we cannot get the ‘Filter by Category’ setting working.

Is there something particular we should be doing to get this to work?

We have tried:

– Leaving ‘Narrow data source’ empty
– Including a single parent category in ‘Narrow data source’
– Including several children categories in ‘Narrow data source’

But none of the above work.

When I select filter by ‘Tags’the filter does work….but I really need to be able to filter by category.

I used your settings (obviously not your categories) and it works fine. What versions of kleo and vc are you running?

Also, you never really said what’s not working. Are you not getting any results? Too many results?

Filter by category flat out does not work. There are no ‘tabs’ or other option above the list of posts with which one can press in order to filter posts.

Don’t worry. I’ve given up with the filter functionality available with the theme as it is too limited anyway. I’m trying a plugin called Search and Filter Pro.

Okay. fyi – that’s not a theme shortcode. It comes standard with VC.
