Depends by the shortcode to know multi-language, or id you switch the language from wp-admin you don’t have separately by language widgets?
OR why you don’t create a separate page by language where you can have fully control in page from example the EN lang home page will be accessed at this url http://domain.com/ and the second lang version at this url http://domain.com/fr_FR
You can ask also the wpml team how you can do that or check their docs

Actually, I have three different homepages. Unfortunately, on each homepage, the “Sweet stories” are showing all the posts, whatever the language. In contrary, on the footer, when I place a “recent posts” widget, It’s showing only the posts that have been writtend in the concerned language.
How to fix the “Sweet stories” issue?

I’m saying the for page written in en you will add /en links and for /fr lang will add /fr
So from example for different languages you have different menus right ? then you may link to respective country code.
For widgets you may need this plugin : https://wordpress.org/plugins/wpml-widgets/
TO can select the widget by lang

It’s very strange, if I add a new posts carousel, it’s filtering by language! But if I keep the old one, it’s not working. So I’ve found a solution.
Thanks!concerning the carousel posts, it would be better to have the post link on the post title (and on the featured image), and no “read more” button. As you can see on my site, when you have a too long title, the read more button is not appearing.
In the arabic version of my website, the post carousel widget doesn’t display anything?
