Hi there,
Last night I updated my client’s site to the latest version due to the email sent to all regarding the required update to the Visual Composer Plugin.
Every page on the site is absolutely fine bar one – the Front Page (Home). A lot of the styling has been removed. I have edited some of it but can’t see what exactly has changed on the other items. So I am having difficulty editing them back to how they were displayed.
Adjustments I have made since updating it: put each row within a container. Although this edit enables it to appear as it did before, the rows weren’t previously within containers.
Unfortunately this edit has caused issues with the the top row and the one with 4 photos in.
Outstanding issues are:
a) MUSIC FOR EVERYONE ROW 1: The height of this row filled the display. The Music for Everyone text was left centre of the container. The image of the violinist was larger (although this image is not the most requiring of the edits)
b) WE ARE NE:MM ROW 2 / MAGAZINE ROW 3 / COMMUNITY ROW 4 / OFFERS ROW 5 had a bottom border enabled but it is no longer visible. I would like it to be visible again.
c) The Media Grid on ROW 6 has disappeared. I would of course like it to reappear.
Being the Front Page, my client is pressing for this to be sorted asap and so I would greatly appreciate any assistance you can provide. I am hoping that what sounds a lot is actually a very quick job for someone who can recognise what has gone wrong. I unfortunately cannot. Please help.
Thank you.

October 19, 2015 at 12:31 #83124TCIBParticipantThanks for the reply Laura.
Nothing actually changed in the back end. It was as it was. It is in it’s published self that changes have occurred which is why I am slightly confused as to what has to be done.
October 19, 2015 at 15:25 #83145LauraModeratorHello, might be related to any plugin that you recently installed? Any css?

October 19, 2015 at 18:31 #83199TCIBParticipantThanks again for the reply. I have tested it removing all non essential plug-ins to no avail. The CSS has not been modified since the update.
Just to reiterate, all that was done was updating the theme as per instructions to do so from Themeforest. And that was done by replacing the theme folder on the ftp with the newly downloaded one from Themeforest. Absolutely nothing else was done.
Thanks.
October 19, 2015 at 22:36 #83280LauraModeratorHello, it is very weird, what we can do is fix it with css, do you have any screenshot of how the site was before?

October 20, 2015 at 13:30 #83337TCIBParticipantThe closest screen shot to what it was is attached.
However, the following should be ignored:
Colour scheme.
Photo row was moved from beneath ‘Magazine’ to beneath ‘Community’.
Although top image is a different subject, it is the same dimensions so gives an indicator of how much larger it should be.It should give you an idea though and also displays the borders.

To move them for example the title, use the padding in design option of the column
I saw custom classes in the sections, maybe some of the changes are related to the custom cssHi there!!! Help others from the community and mark any reply as solution if it solved your question. Mark as a solutionLaura Solanes - Graphic Designer and Web Designer

So that could help to get the top section full screen but it still doesn’t account why the animated image at the top is considerably smaller as to what it was.
Also, the borders still aren’t visible and the most important thing – the row with the images is totally invisible. If you can help with anything that is most vital. Everything else is slightly cosmetic and can be played about with but the absence of the image row is an issue.
October 22, 2015 at 06:42 #83668LauraModeratorHello, the solution is to rebuild it as you did before, i don’t have an idea of why it disappeared, but as you said that in revisions everything was the same, the only way is to rebuild it, try to make the image bigger, add the image carousel as you did the first time 🙂
I can’t help you with this custom request because i do not know exactly how it was, the one that knows how it should be it’s you 🙂I will be happy to help you in anything else, just let me know

October 25, 2015 at 14:27 #84099TCIBParticipantWell the client doesn’t wish to proceed after all that… I am sure I will have to come back to this in the future so will take your advice of restructuring a new page as the homepage when that happens.
Thanks for your assistance Laura.
