Hello All,
I’ve been a fairly happy customer and user of Kleo for about 1 1\2 years now. I love the theme and all of the tools it offers. However, over the last 3 weeks I’ve been dealing with some horrible issues. The biggest being slow load and time out issues.
Before I go any further, with the help of my host, I’ve been able to optimize just about everything on the site / server. I’ve been able to get my page load times to just a couple of seconds. So that’s not the issue I’m coming to you about. What I’m experiencing is all on the admin side. The best example is my Plugin Deals page. I now update this every Sunday. It’s basically just a page of images with links to external sites. The problem is, after editing the page then trying to preview or publish it, the server times out. I either get 500 from Siteground (my host) or 522 from Cloudflare (my CDN). How can this be? And why so often?
Again, I’ve done everything according to WordPress optimization articles and more. I’ve cleared more than 20 gigs on my server, tweaked my htaccess, deleted unneeded plugins, minimized the heartbeat, installed caching tools and also repaired / optimized my database. There’s literally nothing more I can find to fix at this point. While this is going on my CPU is spiking like crazy (image attached). Another thing I’m experiencing is certain pages needing to be reloading before the data populates.
I’m coming to you for help because you have to have experience with this having created the theme. I’m leaving some credentials below so you can log in and check on this immediately. All I ask is that you thoroughly take a look at this and not just give me the first generic solution that comes to mind. I willing to do / fix whatever needs to be but I need to be shown a real problem and offered a real solution in order to do so.
Apologies for the long email but I needed established what I’ve been through and what I’ve done already to avoid being given suggestions I’ve already attempted. I really need a deeper look at this along with a real solution.
