Yes, its becoming very popular. ultimatemember.com

Its got cleaner code then BuddyPress and has a nicer finish on any wordpress base installl. Its compatible with many themes and plugins. I decided to use BuddyPress as it fits my needs perfectly and you guys already customized it. Ultimate member is only good for themes that have no support for buddypress as they install cleaner. Its free and has paid Core Extensions.
