    The generic avatar for users who haven’t uploaded a custom avatar is not showing on my site. I have this enabled in Settings > Discussion > Avatar.

    I checked with firebug and it is trying to load the following image (I replaced my domain with [MYDOMAIN]):

    COPY CODE
    <img alt="" src="http://gravatar.com/avatar/f627d2be0f9675dc7fe205c1dd8f4c4e?d=[MYDOMAIN]/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-core/images/mystery-man.jpg&s=580&r=G" />

    I am using a child theme but the issue persists when I switch to the main theme. Can you help me out please?

    Hi, That is an image generate by gravatar.com so it includes your domain in the request and if it is not accessible it won’t load the image. Try setting it to a generated image instead of the Mystery man

    Thanks for your response. I’ve tried every option under Settings > Discussion > Avatars but no image is ever shown.

    For example; when I select identicon the html looks like this:

    COPY CODE
    <div class="avatar"><img width="94" height="94" alt="Profile picture of Princess Rita" src="http://gravatar.com/avatar/9ebca998ce3fac43f184ea4ca29a91ff?d=identicon&s=94&r=G" /></div>

    I feel stupid. It turns out adblocker was blocking the avatars in firefox. Please close this topic. Thanks.
