Got update notice. No idea how to update.

Hi,
I got sweetdate update notice from evanto today.
I checked wordpress. There is no related information on admin panel.
Would it update automatically on wordpress??

Hi Heeha,

I managed to update to version 2.7 successfully today.

I’ve done it not by the dashboard, but via FTP server, I dragged all the files of Sweetdate (WordPress) to my old theme — no need to replace the child-theme (please re-confirm this, theme maker 😉

– Connect to your server.
– Go to wp-content/themes/ and copy “sweet” folder to your computer so you have a backup of your old files.
– Extract sweet.zip that you have downloaded from Themeforest. Make sure the resulting “sweet” folder has a style.css in it. Delete on your server all files inside wp-content/themes/sweet and then copy all files inside “kleo” folder to your server in wp-content/themes/kleo

Thank you for the reply.
I read the sweetdate document about the upgrade issue.
It said.

To easily update the theme using Envato update plugin you must go to WP-admin -> Sweetdate -> Miscellaneous and enter your Envato username and API Key. After you have saved the settings you will receive update automatically.

Where to get the API Key?

I found a “http://marketplace.envato.com/api/documentation”
Not easy to understand it.

Any suggestion?

The API key can be generated from your Themeforest account -> Settings – API KEYS
