header covering title

Why is my header so close to my title and in some cases overlapping it? This happens when I deactivate breadcrumb and contact info. I do not want this, just a simple header that is transparent but does not overlap my title. So how do i create defined space below my header on all pages?

In this case, info n the header is overlapping. It is very annoying. Further to which, theme changes are not updating properly, i have to constatly purge the cache and in some cases that does not work.

Turn off transparent main menu in theme options and only turn it on for the page that need it.
