Home Page Restoration

I was attempting to add a terms and cond. link to the bottom of my site. I went to the Widgets menu, added a links Widget to Footer 2; thought that it would allow me to add the Term and Cond page. However, when I save the Widget I lost my entire Home Page data and images. All I have is a search box.

I have no idea what happened, need help to restore my customized Home Page.

hi, Try and go to Settings – Reading and set your Home page and latest posts page to a Blog page. That should do it. You can also go to Settings – permalinks and re-save those settings

I’m sorry I had forgotten to ask you the obvious question; do not want to repeat what I did before.

I want Terms and Privacy to appear in the footer of the front page and I would like a check box (in agreement with Terms and Privacy) during the registration process.

Hopefully I will get it right this time.

You just add it as a Custom Menu or other widget you want in a footer widget location. That should have nothing to do with what happened to your site.
To add that checkbox you need some custom work from a developer. Changes need to be made under sweetdate/registration/register.php
