When I go to settings > reading > “blog pages show at most” … and increase the number past the default 10, the home page fails to show more than 10 posts, and selecting a higher number also seems to break the paginate function. I need to be able to show at least 12 featured posts and would like to be able to show 24.
November 14, 2014 at 23:02 #35524KamalModeratorHi,
Can you please give me a temporary access to your wordpress site so that I can check it directly?
Thanks,

I’ve never had this type of problem with the many different free themes I’ve used on different domains.
November 15, 2014 at 02:46 #35547KamalModeratorHello,
Please do not mind. I just asked temporary access to fix this quickly. There is no problem in our theme. Changing post number in your setting did not have effect because post are shown on your home page via a shortcode element called post grid. and in that grid, No of posts to display is set to 10 by default. So you need to edit that number in shortcode. You can add whatever number you want to show your post. At first you need to edit your home page. and find the place where post grid is used. then click on the classic editor to change the value of number of post. I have added some screenshots. Please have a look at them. I think you can easily do this. If you have any question, Please ask me anytime. Thank you very much.Hi there!!! November 15, 2014 at 14:37 #35584dudeincoloradoParticipantI am not able to find the shortcode that you showed in your screenshots.
1. There is no “home page” in the pages index on the dashboard.
2. I do not have a “classic mode” tab on any edit pages. It shows a “backend editor” and a “frontend editor”
Can I change the number of blog posts displayed in the appearance > editor?
Also: If I click on “frontend editor” the page becomes unresponsive and I have to kill it. If I go to the display and click “visual editor” on any page, it displays the logo in the center working, but I am also getting two lines of errors on the top of the page that I can not read because it is light text on a whitebackground.
I have a dreamhost dedicated server. I bought this theme because you claimed it was easy to use. These numerous problems are not acceptable and I am unsatisfied with what you sold me.
November 15, 2014 at 17:34 #35611sharmstrModeratorKamal assumed that you had a custom home page set in Settings-Reading instead of your home page being your latest posts.
@abe – I have confirmed this. If you set it to 9, then you get the kleo pagination. If you set it to 10 you get 10 posts but no pagination. If you set it to anything over 10, you only get 10 posts and still no pagination. Again, this is when Front page displays = Your latest posts. This doesnt happen if you set Front Page = Home / Posts page = blog.Hi there!!! Help others from the community and mark any reply as solution if it solved your question. November 15, 2014 at 17:47 #35612sharmstrModeratorActually, the same thing happens in the 2014 wordpress theme, so its not a Kleo issue.

November 15, 2014 at 18:41 #35622dudeincoloradoParticipantI have it set to 9 and it works … only problem is I want to show 24 or more “read more” posts on the home page. I’m not technically advanced – is there a way I can do this?
November 15, 2014 at 19:20 #35625dudeincoloradoParticipantI just activated a WP 2014 theme on a test site and I am NOT experiencing this issue on the test site. This is NOT a WP issue.
November 15, 2014 at 19:45 #35626sharmstrModeratorYou’re right. Sorry. I had it set wrong. Anyhow, the Kleo team will have to take a look at it.

November 15, 2014 at 22:07 #35629sharmstrModerator@abe – scratch my confirmation. I had some code in my functions file that was limiting the results to 10. I’m not having any issues displaying more than 10 posts on the front page.

November 17, 2014 at 19:05 #35784AbeKeymaster@dudeincolorado you should tell us where you encounter that? Default blog page? I can confirm the setting under Settings – Reading works. Check for some plugins you use or disable all to test

November 21, 2014 at 13:25 #36217sharmstrModerator@dudeincolorado: I just logged in and set wp admin – settings -reading – blog pages show at most: 24 posts. Now your main page is showing all 13 posts you have.

November 21, 2014 at 14:11 #36227dudeincoloradoParticipantI missed the private reply box – I’m busy in a different occupation and my adult sites
are a sideline I’m still learning …
Thank you for fixing this problem, but I’m unsure why I was not able to do it on my own.
I’ve changed this setting via the same route on many other times on free themes ( ? )
Have a good day …November 21, 2014 at 14:13 #36228sharmstrModeratorI have no idea either. That’s all I did. The only thing I can think of is that you only had 10 posts at the time. You only have 13 now, 3 of them were created after you started this topic 🙂
