How do I get the notification bubble in the header?

I’d like to have a notification bubble show in the header when a user has notifications like friend requests and messages.

Appearance > Menus > Kleo > Live Notification. If you dont see the Kleo menu items, click on Screen Options in the upper right.

Can the color of the circle be changed?
