Hi, I have being looking for some sort of documentation on how the Dashboard works, but couldn’t find anything.
The questions is if you could guide me with these doubts:
- Inside my page editor, with VISUAL COMPOSER, Do I need to add a SINGLE ROW with CUSTOM Columns and add the object on each column?
- Do I add a specific column count and multiple rows?
If you could guide me here, that would be awesome, thanks.

Sorry for the lack of documentation on that. We’re currently working on producing new documentation for all of our themes and I will add this to the list of topics to cover.
You can create any number of rows in any column format that you wish to use. Within each column click the add icon and select “Dashboard Item”, set the title if required and click ‘Save changes’.
You will now be able to click the add icon on the newly created dashboard item to add any Visual Composer element or add a ‘Text block’ to use your own custom shortcodes. Everything else is worked out automatically for you when the page loads.
Hope this helps,
Kieran.

The thing is that in the DEMO page the dashboard shows a CUSTOM LAYOUT with many 1/2 + 1/2 + 1/2 + 1/2
But when you see this on the front end the columns are not 1/2. Some are 1/4 others 1/6. Thats why I don’t quite understand how this works.
Thanks

I am going to ask my colleague @radu to reply here as they are likely to be able to explain it a lot better than I can. They’ll be in touch soon, sorry for the delay and thank you for your patience.
Kieran.

There the row should be divided in 4, so just hover the Custom word in visual composer (see screenshot)
Here it’s the default shortcode of the dashboard page maybe you need it to revert to the initial state of the page : https://pastebin.com/raw/MxRX6JRY
It can be pasted by switching to classic mode
then click to text mode to paste direct the shortcode. Here are the visual composer official video tutorials : https://vc.wpbakery.com/video-tutorials/

When I see the DEFAULT CODE you sent, all the columns shows as 1/2, none shows as 1/4, yet the sizes are different, should I used the offset=”vc_col-lg-3 vc_col-md-6 vc_col-xs-12″ to make this?.
That’s the reason I’m confused on how to implement this Dashboard.
October 25, 2017 at 19:12 #177858RaduModeratorJust give a try to my code i’ve copied exactly as it is and it’s using 4 columns as you can see inscreenshot
You can import the dashboard page from wp-admin -> theme demo -> import specific page
Cheers
