How to change search results colors in top level menu?

Hi, All.  I did a search on your forum and came across this thread – https://archived.seventhqueen.com/forums/topic/how-to-change-font-color-on-top-search-box. I tried adding the suggestions to my CSS but didn’t notice any changes.  Would you please let me know how I can change the text on the search results to something lighter than the current gray color?  I’ve attached a sample of what the results currently look like.  I’m hoping to make the title and brief description a lighter color.

Hi, Laura. Thanks for your reply. My apologies. I’m still testing the site while building it and had forgotten to switch over DNS. The site should be accessible after logging in (it’s currently in maintenance mode for non-logged in users).

The credentials are:

url – https://www.cheersva.org/wp-login.php
username – vendoraccess
password – FDEXx^cxP@Q9I50gfa@lED0i

That account has admin-level rights.

That worked great, Laura, thank you! I played with the colors a bit and am using the LightSlateGray/Silver combo. Looks very nice on mobile devices too.
