How to Customise Search Results?

Hi,

Getting used to the theme now, but I’m trying to customise the search results page, how can I do this? I essentially just want to remove the post title and read more text, as I’m running a photo blog and only want to see the images, almost like a gallery.

This way, when a user clicks of the image, it will take them to more information on it.

I went to inspect element and deleted a few bits to illustrate (attached).

I’ll also like to add the search bar to  just above the search results, is this possible?
